The other day I was reading in the bedroom when Travis dashed in, madly whispering "come here! you have to see this!" I went out to the living and saw this:
Little boo was SO TIRED that he fell asleep in his high chair!! This is the first time this has ever happened. It was too cute for words. I felt horrible that I hadn't noticed he was tired, that I had let my child fall asleep with his head on hard plastic, that he was going to wake up and one whole side of his body would be asleep, etc. etc. But he actually seemed pretty comfortable. After about ten minutes he kind of half woke up and looked very confused, so then we put him in his bed. Poor baby.
And here is a picture of him sleeping while I'm holding him! (I think this was actually as I was moving him from the high chair to his bed.) I took it because he NEVER sleeps while I'm holding him. This is basically a first, at least since he was a tiny baby. And then he slept like 20 hours a day, so that hardly counts.
This, by the way, is the table we moved into the bedroom to be my "work desk". Guess how much work I actually get done at it...

Ready to go for a walk!!

So Em has been falling all over the place lately, as he figures out how to crawl/sit/move without losing his balance. We try to catch him but it seems like he ends up hitting himself in the head more often than not. Today he all of a sudden had this bruise right in the middle of his cheek...not that shocking, considering his levels of balancing finesse (!), but the funny part is that he has the imprint of what I think is the top of a duplo block right in the middle of the bruise. ! I guess his cheek must have landed straight on the top of a block. Kind of awful but kind of funny too. (It actually looks worse in real life than in this picture...oh well.)

All for now!
