Quick note in case you've seen anything on the news about the riots and looting - it happened fairly close to where we are (15-30 minutes walking) but nothing went down in our immediate area and we are totally and absolutely safe. (This note is specifically for certain of my family members who share my total and constant conviction that if anyone is five minutes late getting anywhere, or if I try calling them even once and they don't pick up, they must surely be dead in a ditch. Ha!)
